WD-40® Rising Stars: Innovation Collaboration with SMKN 1 Jakarta Students
Demonstrating its commitment to education, especially vocational training, WD-40® has teamed up with Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri 1 Jakarta (SMKN 1 Jakarta) for a collaborative project aimed at transforming a conventional vehicle into an electric one.
This initiative is part of WD-40® Rising Stars, a talent development and scholarship program created to foster innovation among vocational school (SMK) students in Indonesia.
The project involves transforming an old, conventional Bajaj into an electric-powered vehicle. WD-40® collaborated with exceptional students from SMKN 1 Jakarta and their teachers, engaging them in every phase of the process.
Through this initiative, WD-40® also encourages the public to contribute by donating a portion of the proceeds from every purchase of a 277 ml WD-40® Multi-Use Product to fund scholarships for the SMKN 1 Jakarta students involved in the project.
The collaborative result will be showcased to the public at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, taking place from February 13 to 23, 2025.
With the WD-40® Rising Stars program, WD-40® aims to continue supporting the empowerment of talent and innovation among vocational school students and their schools, while also displaying their works to the public.
